Experience matters. So does staying curious.

Experience matters.
So does staying curious.

I’m a Designer & Creative Strategist based in Charlotte, North Carolina, with experience across advertising, branding, retail, digital, websites, campaigns, and events.

Being in design for as long as I have means seeing a lot of change. Technology has transformed how we create, communicate, and solve problems, and the pace of change is faster today than it has ever been.

One lesson I learned early came from my uncle, who owned a billboard company. He and his team hand-painted every billboard. They were incredibly talented artists, but when digital technology was introduced, he didn’t adapt. He never thought anyone would prefer digital over hand-painted art. Eventually, his business couldn’t compete.

That stayed with me.

Talent matters, but staying curious and willing to adapt matters too.

That mindset has shaped the way I work. When technology changes, I learn it. When something is unfamiliar, I dig in. And when someone says something can’t be done, my first question is usually, “Why not?”

At one point, after repeatedly hearing that certain website ideas couldn’t be done or would take weeks to implement, I taught myself WordPress. Not because I wanted to become a developer, but because I wanted to understand what was possible.

That hands-on approach still shapes how I work today.

Thinking beyond the moment

Design should meet the moment while leaving room for what comes next.

Whether it’s an event, a campaign, or a brand,  I start with the end in mind and build something that can grow, adapt, and still feel relevant years from now.

Design should work today and still make sense tomorrow.
