Seasonal Home Photography Library

Project Overview

Creating a seasonal photography library for home products across print and digital.

This project focused on planning and directing seasonal photography for home products across the first and second quarters.

The goal was to create a library of hero images that could be used across ecommerce, print, in-store, and sales materials, reducing the need for separate photography throughout the season.

The Challenge

Create enough seasonal imagery to support multiple product categories and channels while keeping the photography consistent, versatile, and cost-effective.

Rather than photographing products when needed, the approach was to plan ahead and capture a larger collection of seasonal imagery in coordinated shoots.

The Idea

The creative direction focused on bright, approachable lifestyle settings that made everyday home products feel useful, inviting, and aspirational. Directional sunlight was incorporated throughout the photography to create a warm, cohesive look across the imagery.

Each scene was planned with multiple uses in mind, allowing one photography shoot to support a range of products, promotions, and placements.

The System

The photography was planned to work across:

  • Ecommerce hero imagery
  • Print promotions and circulars
  • In-store signage and point of sale
  • Seasonal campaigns
  • Sales materials
  • Digital content

Different product categories received their own visual treatment while remaining part of the same seasonal look and feel.

As Art Director, I developed the concepts and directed the visual approach across the shoots, including lighting, styling, composition, mood, and product placement.

The photography included:

  • Kitchen and baking
  • Tabletop and entertaining
  • Colorful housewares
  • Soft home and bedding
  • Bath and organization

The Outcome

The result was a more consistent visual experience across ecommerce, print, and retail, while making better use of the photography budget.
